Angel Tree is a nation-wide, Prison Fellowship program that focuses on connecting incarcerated parents to their children. Each Christmas season, Angel Tree seeks to bring restoration to families dealing with incarceration through the delivery of Christmas gifts and the Gospel on behalf of the parent.

Since 2001 TRAILS has been the Angel Tree Coordinator for Beaver County, and with the help of the surrounding community, has successfully connected an average of 300 local children to their incarcerated family members each year in this way. Children with a father or mother incarcerated in a federal or state prison or the Beaver County Jail may all participate.

Each year TRAILS has looked for ways to expand the program to better meet the needs of the local community. For example, last year TRAILS included individuals residing in local half-way and three-quarter-way houses in the program. For the upcoming season, TRAILS would like to set the goal of providing each child with a Bible in addition to their other gifts, connecting families to the source of Truth and Life through the written Word of God. TRAILS is currently researching and exploring various options in order to find the cheapest, most efficient way in accomplishing this goal.

Every Angel Tree child will receive a clothing item(s) totaling $25.00 AND a recreational/toy item also totaling $25.00.

If you are interested in purchasing gifts for one or more children on behalf of their parents, or volunteering in any other way, please call Abigail Young at (724) 944-8518.
